What is Practical Path?
The Practical Path is a self-paced, 16+ lesson program designed to work with your life, so you can find your happy weight
without sacrificing foods and memories you love.
This isn’t a meal plan or a set of rules.
Here we teach you how to eat so you can handle any and every situation no matter what’s thrown at you
(travel, life transition, school, pregnancy, social eating, weight gain, etc.).
It’s made by someone with a big family and ethnic background. Leena understands real life – coming from a big family,
being restrictive in social gatherings only led to binges and stalled weight loss even further.
Practical Nutrition can help us achieve weight loss but prioritizes a healthy relationship with food –
because you can and should be able to have both if that’s what you want.

Hey, I’m Leena! I’m a Palestinian, Muslim American that grew up in Northern Virginia with my 4 siblings, parents, and extended family around me.
My passion for nutrition started when I realized how good good food could make me feel.
Through a lot of trial and error, I quickly realized that dieting and restriction, counting macros, and cutting things out, wasn’t for me. It left me feeling isolated from social gatherings and confused as to why I was the only one that couldn’t eat normally and stress-free while maintaining a healthy weight.
By studying the habits of “naturally” healthy people, the science of nutrition, and the reality of our lives, I created a method to help anyone create a path to health and weight loss that is easy and sustainable.

My Experience & Background
American, Muslim, Palestinian, a foodie, and my family is my heart.
There’s a lot of different words that help define who I am and growing up, this confused me. I lacked passion for any one thing and struggled to find “my thing” until I found fitness and food.
At the deepest parts of my fitness journey, I found how cool it could be to manipulate calories and macros along with training and take control of our bodies. I surprised myself with what I was capable of and how far I could push myself. I found what I thought was my passion.
That is until I found myself getting stressed at family dinners over the food, overeating, gaining weight, and obsessing over my training routine. I knew something was wrong. I stopped caring about being the leanest version of myself, but I did want to be the healthiest version of myself.
I wanted to eat like the naturally healthy and happy people I saw all around me. The people that didn’t overthink food, the people that naturally maintained their happy weight.
I decided to switch up my major and add on Healthy Psychology to my business degree so I could dive deeper into what does work since dieting clearly doesn’t. After college, I enrolled in the Institute of Transformational Nutrition and dug even deeper into the science of nutrition and behavior change.
With that, I started to change my relationship with food, reverse binge eating and overeating, drop the stress and anxiety around food and pursue healthy weight loss to rediscover my happy weight.
Fast forward a few years and many clients later and The Practical Path was formed. Now I have the honor of helping people all over the world find their Practical Balance and their Happy Weight.
